Ahh I was there!
What a festival! I'd have to agree with ~Mooseh and say i'd have probably preferred this with Jay-Z on the extreme right. Good anyway, though. -- *Ouylle: "The good thing about photography is there is an infinity of situations worth an image. The tragedy is that each one is unique..." It's hard work, there's a lot of ground to cover and there was only three of us working... But it's still fun all the same.
I think you're right, the pic could do with cropping to the side. Thanks for your comment -- Beards not bombs. Really, only three?
I swear I saw like six or seven photogs. when I got to the front of a few sets. Do you speak to the Japanese bloke? We had a little analogue photographer love and took a picture of each other at the Other stage -- *Ouylle: "The good thing about photography is there is an infinity of situations worth an image. How I wish there was only three of us! Didn't speak to the Japanese guy, although I did speak to a guy called Stuart who I met last year. He shoots the entire fest on a pair of Bronicas. Last year Tom Stoddart, who works with Getty, shot it with a pair of Leicas, a Hassleblad and a D70. Interesting combo! -- Beards not bombs. Wow yeah, very interesting.. I would've thought in your line of work quick turnaround would be useful? Or does stuff shot on film tend to be more for archives and similar rather than news?
The Bronicas and Hassleblad don't sound particularly 'festival-friendly,' wouldn't want to be lugging them around in preference to a DSLR. -- *Ouylle: "The good thing about photography is there is an infinity of situations worth an image. The tragedy is that each one is unique..." |
