American rapper Jay-Z takes to the stage for his controversial headlining slot on the Pyramid Stage of Glastonbury Festival.
What I didn't realise was that the BBC cut his video montage from the beginning of his set. Shame really, it was funny and poked fun at Noel. For what it's worth Jay-Z was pretty awesome. None of the alleged special guests were there - he pulled it off on his own. Rumours were Beyonce, Chris Martin and Kanye West would all join him on stage. Probably one of my favourite acts of the weekend. Seems that indie has killed itself and become simply poor pop. Or 'landfill indie' as the Guardian calls it today. Which is where this pic is, across two pages, same crop. Saved my festival to be honest, one of two pics I liked that have made the papers. Image copyright SWNS. I've been watching the highlights online, and I have to say it hasn't been all that inspiring from what I've seen. I would liked to have seen Vampire Weekend though -- .Eccentric Delusions of Grandeur. Comics Site Papertank Site  I love the fact that he totally pwned Noel

I thought I passed him on the way to a stage but I was caught in the flow of human traffic. Did he enjoy it? Working and Glastonbury don't really seem to go together... Were you there as well? -- Beards not bombs. Cheers Chris
I missed VW, bit annoyed about that. Crystal Castles were amazing but apart from that everyone was a bit lacklustre and boring. Seems that most bands are happy to stand and perform and do nowt else. Band of Horses sounded amazing though without having to jump around. -- Beards not bombs. |
